This document lists all the information needed to configure OTA Guard on your computer. Fill in each section using the explanations provided, then send this form back to LISBOA PVT (or keep it on hand) at installation time. Nothing here is 100% mandatory — fields marked (optional) can be left blank and configured later.

1 Your hotel

2 Room types and price limits

The floor price is the minimum below which a displayed rate should never fall — your safeguard against selling at a loss. The ceiling price is the maximum you accept to see displayed.

3 OTAs to monitor

For each OTA (Booking.com, Agoda, Google Hotels, MakeMyTrip, Expedia, Airbnb…), provide the exact URL of your hotel's page on that site. How to get it: go to the OTA's website, search for your hotel by name and city, open its listing page, then copy the full address from the browser's address bar (it starts with https://…).

4 Channel Manager — correction mode

The Channel Manager is the software that connects your hotel to the OTAs. Corrected rates go through it. OTA Guard offers two connection modes — choose the one that matches your situation:

API mode — your Channel Manager offers API access: OTA Guard sends corrections directly, machine to machine.

Extranet Direct mode — no API key: OTA Guard acts through your own browser session on your Channel Manager's extranet (up to 20 rooms). Ideal when API access is paid or unavailable.

CONFIDENTIALITY: the API key must never be handed over to a third party, published, or shared through an unsecured channel. The notes below are provided for informational purposes only, to help you identify and retrieve this key from your Channel Manager provider.

WARNING: API access may come at an extra cost. Many Channel Manager providers, including channelmanager.com.au, charge an additional fee for API access — it is not always included in the base subscription and sometimes has to be activated on request. Ask explicitly whether there is an extra cost before requesting the key, to avoid a surprise invoice.

Pass this list on to your provider as-is when requesting the key: “Rate Update, Room Info and OTA Info are mandatory; Inventory Update and Restriction Update are optional.”

Browser used — Brave recommended (provided)

How it works: you log into your Channel Manager's extranet in your browser, as usual. OTA Guard observes that session and applies the corrections for you, inside your own account, under your eyes — without ever transmitting your credentials. The 20-room limit keeps the service reliable.

5 AI keys — (optional)

OTA Guard works without an AI key, but an AI key improves detection whenever a site changes its layout. One key is enough — most providers offer it for free at moderate usage. Fallback order: Gemini > Mistral > Groq > OpenAI > Claude > Ollama.

Free notes (property specifics, seasons, instructions…)

PRIVACY: all keys and passwords entered into OTA Guard are encrypted locally on your machine (Windows DPAPI) and are never transmitted to LISBOA PVT. This form is therefore the only copy of your credentials — keep it in a safe place.
